Fyri Ammos, located at the Southeast side, is one of the largest and most impressive beaches on the island. It’s name (Red Sand) comes from the small red pebbles that create a magnificent contrast with the blue-green waters of the Myrtoan and Cretan seas that meet in that place. Enjoy either the comfort of the organized south part, or seek the peacefulness of the northern part.
