Mitata is surrounded by an intensely altering landscape. According to Geologists the basic morphology of the island has changed twice in the past. One was 25 million years ago and the next was 5 million years before humans walked the earth. So while wandering around the trails and ravines of the village and being at an altitude of 325meters, in the geographical center of the island, everywhere you look around there are sea shells and fossils. By examining them closely, let your imagination free to capture the way the island appeared back then, with the sea reaching it’s (what today is) center.
